An Introduction
PPA was created in 2008 by Rachel Crouch and Louise Glarvey. Their aim was to create a first class vocational training, which also provided academic qualifications in musical theatre, dance and drama.
Their Mission is to provide students with a nurturing and attentive — yet realistic — training, in preparation for a competitive, but rewarding, career in the performing arts.
Whilst the primary focus of PPA is preparation for leading colleges such as London Studio Centre, Arts Educational,GSA, Mountview and RADA, the courses are also suitable for those who want to enter the industry at the earliest opportunity, and are keen to give themselves the best chance of success.
Students at PPA can choose to take examinations which are equal to three A-Levels (in terms of UCAS points), or simply take advantage of the outstanding training as a gateway to the next stage. All students, whatever level or age, take the ATCL Diploma in Performance with Trinity Guildhall.
When it comes to moving on from PPA, 16-19 year olds taking our A-Level equivalent TwoYear Preparation course have increased chances of gaining DADAs and Scholarships through our unique outreach programs. Older students on our OneYear Intensive course receive the same benefits and are showcased to colleges and agents during their training.
