CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 1ST YEAR DIPLOMA STUDENTS WHO HAVE ALL GAINED PROFESSIONAL PANTOMINE SEASON THIS CHRISTMAS IN GUILDFORD AND KETTERING:

PPA are delighted to annouce that they will be moving into the first of their new venues - REGENTS HOUSE in January 2012!

PPA STUDENTS DELIGHTED AT PANTO SUCCESS!

GUILDFORD’s Performance Preparation Academy is delighted to announce that eleven of their students have secured professional pantomime roles this Christmas, both at Lighthouse Theatre, Kettering, and Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre.

PPA Students Laura Ferrin, Kyle Herbert, Connie Nash, Chris Norton and Amy Reader will be taking ensemble roles in this year’s traditional family Pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk at Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, alongside PPA Patron Bonnie Langford.

In addition they will be understudying all the lead roles, and Connie Nash has been selected as the Juveniles Dance Captain. The students are only in their first year of their three year national diploma course, and are thrilled to have won places in such a prestigious Pantomime over students at other leading drama schools.

Director at PPA, Rachel Crouch explains: "It’s such a great opportunity for our students: we’re delighted at their success. They’ll be working with a fantastic team of professionals this Christmas, it’s a fabulous opportunity for them all to gain first-hand experience about the disciplines of the Industry and apply the skills that all the staff at PPA are so dedicated in teaching them."

Bonnie Langford has packed a wealth of experience into her career in Performing Arts and pledged her support to PPA earlier this year, becoming one of their Patrons: "PPA is a new, vibrant school that helps people prepare for performance and it’s just great to see how new businesses can flourish. PPA is run by people in the Industry, and their students are taught by people who have great experience actually working in theatre, television and film. It gives them a great start to a wonderful professional career, and I’m thoroughly looking forward to working with them this Christmas."

Previously Head of Musical Theatre at GSA, Gerry Tebbutt is the Head of PPA’s new three year diploma course, and will be directing Jack and the Beanstalk this Christmas, with his wife Jill Francis alongside him as Associate Choreographer on the production. Jill is also Head of the two year course at PPA.

Prior to launching PPA, Rachel Crouch worked at a children’s Theatre School, from which many of the girls she used to teach, as well as girls from her new PPA kids class, have secured places in the juvenile chorus too.
