One Year Musical Theatre Intensive Course
This course is exclusively structured for students who wish to gain a place at one of the linking colleges or drama schools we work with.
Students are trained as 'triple threat' performers and receive exclusive workshops and tutorials by these colleges, in order to give them the best possible chance of gaining a place — and also funding in the form of a DADA or HEFCE. Over the year we will work on audition technique and give them all the tools they need to be fully successful in entering higher education.
The One Year Intensive Performance Course (Musical Theatre Strand) is a vocational and practical program aimed at students who are intent on applying for full-time accredited musical theatre courses at drama school and are committed to pursuing and developing a career in the performing arts, specialising in musical theatre.
The course is designed to introduce and explore a range of methods and techniques in musical theatre under the guidance of a professional faculty. As the starting point of an individual's professional training the One Year Performance Intensive focuses on developing skills and the acquisition of techniques in acting, singing and dance to enable students to work towards achieving 'triple threat' status.
Adhering to a strict professional code of conduct the One Year Performance Intensive Course is designed to provide students with the skills and techniques that will enable students to meet the requirements and demands placed on the versatile professional for entry into drama school and the acting profession. As befits training for the acting profession there is an expectation that students will develop a rigorous and disciplined approach in order to attain the highest standards of professional behaviour and conduct.
