What to Expect
HOURS
The college day starts at 8.45am and finishes at 5.10pm at the latest (Teaching course runs from 5.30-7.30pm) PPA also have many other extra- curricular activities that students may get involved with.
UNIFORM
Students at PPA wear uniform for all of their classes. The uniform is available from the college upon acceptance of a place onto one of the courses.
MONITORING STUDENTS PROGRESS
During times when students need extra support or advice, students may approach their course leader at any time. However students may approach any faculty member they feel comfortable with. Each student receives reports and assessments at the end of each term to document targets achieved and examination results.
PERSONAL HEALTH
A typical day at PPA involves several dance classes and workshops, so body maintenance is a must. We recommend that students have healthcare for the duration of their training. PPA actively promotes a healthy attitude to body and mind, with an aim to create performers that are confident within their talent and do need feel that they need to conform to industry stereotypes.
FACULTY
Over the years, we have collected an impressive faculty, which we now have on board at PPA: so as well as the excellent qualifications, students are trained by some of the best dance, drama and singing coaches in the business today. Students are tutored daily in ISTD Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, Drama, Singing (tutorial and rep), Body Conditioning, Contemporary, Classical Singing and Audition technique and more.
